CARAVATI PAGANI is also particularly specialised in the valuation of companies, company branches and company shares.
Specifically, our firm, in providing technical consultancy services and carrying out appraisals, deals with the following for Clients:
In civil matters, technical consultancy is provided to the judge or the parties. As court-appointed technical consultants, we act as the judge’s auxiliaries in order to provide precise answers to the questions he asks during the assignment hearing. It is also our responsibility to report the results in the expert report.
Both the OTC and the CTP act as consultants in civil or penal legal proceedings. The court-appointed expert witness works beside the judge and provides advice based on specific competences established by the Code of Civil Procedure. His task is to answer useful questions drafted by the judge in order to clarify the parties’ positions.
The role of the party’s expert witness, instead, is to give advice to the parties in dispute. Each party chooses which expert to appoint to work alongside the court-appointed consultant. The specific duties of these two professionals, who must be registered with the appropriate professional association, are therefore similar in some respects and in some ways complementary. Following a careful analysis of the reports provided by the OTC and the CTP, the judge can issue the judgement.
Expert reports are articulated texts that include numerical parts, graphs and images. They are drawn up in order to provide a clear and complete description of a property and to evaluate it economically. Our task in drawing up these reports is to indicate all the intrinsic and extrinsic characteristics of the asset with an indication of the valuation method and criteria used.
